The School of Total Quality Management is a unit of Directorate of Quality Management. DQM believes in
constant improvement and innovation. The TQM course is a result of it. DQM is one of the very few institutes
in India offering M.Sc. in Total Quality Management. The TQM program is a 2-year correspondence program
offered in collaboration with Kuvempu University, Karnataka which is approved by UGC, Ministry of HRD,
Govt. of India.
The course is a breakthrough futuristic program which will enable a student have a holistic approach towards
quality by using his creative skills as well as his logical capabilities while carrying out any function related to
quality.
The objective of this programme is to promote professionals & non-professionals for top positions in public
or private sector. The emphasis will therefore, be on developing a proper role perception of quality in the
Indian context by exposing them to a wide range of relevant areas, sufficiently in depth so that they may gain
the confidence necessary to interact with people at all levels and develop personal as well as professional skills
for translating policies into action effectively.
Eligibility
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc. TQM Program should have passed Bachelor’s degree examination
from a recognized University (UGC/AICTE), in any subject (Commerce/ Management/ Arts/ Social Science/
Sciences/ Engineering / Technology) or equivalent, and have secured not less than 40% of marks in the
Bachelor’s Degree Examination in aggregate.
